SUPERBOWL SOUNDTRACK
BATTLE OF
THE BEATS
Each Super Bowl week, JReid InDeed hosts Coding for the Culture, a signature program designed to introduce, inspire, and expand computer science education through the creative lens of music. Students learn core coding concepts while using EarSketch, a free online code editor, to compose original musical remixes with sounds and tracks from top recording artists.
For Super Bowl LX, hosted in Santa Clara, California, Coding for the Culture will engage students from Aragon High School and culminate in an in-person showcase hosted at Stanford University. Selected students will participate in three virtual computer science workshops leading up to Super Bowl week, followed by a live coding competition where they present their final projects—remixing beats and songs to create the “hypest beat” of the Super Bowl.
During the showcase, a panel of guest judges will evaluate each student’s work, with awards presented to the top three winners. All participating students will receive swag, certificates, and additional prizes. Coding for the Culture is an immersive, hands-on experience that blends STEM education and computer science with creativity, collaboration, and self-expression, empowering students to build technical skills while creating something original, meaningful, and memorable.
